Back for Summer #14, Boot Camp Chatham is a challenging and fun workout that incorporates cardio and strength exercises. The classes are outdoors at 8 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. on Saturdays at Chatham Community Center.

Back by popular demand, Boot Camp Chatham is excited to be offering weekly boot camp classes every Friday at scenic Hardings Beach. These family-friendly events will mix the classic Boot Camp Chatham sweat with the sand and salty air of Hardings Beach. Join us at 8 a.m. every Friday from June 28th to August 9th for this special fitness experience. Parking is free (and so is the refreshing post-workout dip in Nantucket Sound).

If you would like a more customized fitness experience, individual or small group personal training is also available at a time that works with your schedule. Mary will work with you to design a training program that fits your needs and fitness goals. High school and college athletes can also receive sport-specific speed, agility and strength training.

Fitness Boot Camp
Over the first 13 years, Boot Camp Chatham has developed a strong following with participants from Chatham and all over the world - many who come back year after year. It is our summer fitness family! We are always looking for new members of any fitness level to join us. Boot Camp is a fun and challenging total body workout in every class, incorporating both cardio and strength exercises. People of all fitness abilities and ages are welcome - it’s for anyone who WANTS to be fit! The classes are outdoors at 8 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. on Saturdays at Chatham Community Center. All you need is a towel, exercise mat, and lots of water. Beach Boot Camp
Are you ready for a little sweat mixed with sand? We are bringing the fun, family-friendly Boot Camp Chatham experience to the beach! Beach Boot Camp will be every Friday morning at 8 a.m. from June 28th to August 9th at Hardings Beach. Like the regular fitness boot camps, Beach Boot Camp will mix strength and cardio in a fun and challenging workout, while bringing some new ways to push you that only can be done in the sand. All you need is a bottle of water and a towel. The best part of it all - after we are done working up a good sweat, a refreshing dip in Nantucket Sound is just steps away! Cost: $20/class. Personal Training
If you desire a more personalized fitness experience, are just getting started or want to take your training to a higher level, individual or small group personal training is available. I will work with you to understand your fitness needs and goals and develop a customized training program to make those goals a reality.
Sports Training
As a former Division I college field hockey player and coach, I know what it takes to be successful when competing at the highest levels. That success doesn't start when you step on the field or court with your uniform on. It begins when you are training all by yourself in the sweaty summer heat of Cape Cod...when you are the only person running sprints at the local track or doing agility exercises at the neighborhood tennis court. I can be your partner in this journey - helping you get stronger, faster, quicker and more skilled through customized training that fits your sport(s) and individual goals.
Meet Mary
Mary Austin is an ACE-certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer and former Division I collegiate athlete and coach. She has inspired others to achieve higher levels of fitness and well-being in Massachusetts, Virginia and Lima, Peru, through simple, effective, fun and varied workouts. She believes that fitness is attainable “for anyone who WANTS to be fit.”
Mary spent the summers in Chatham growing up and, despite now living in Northern Virginia, still finds her way back to the Cape every summer with her three kids in tow. She started Boot Camp Chatham in 2011 to bring a fun fitness outlet for those also enjoying her favorite place on earth, and now looks forward to reconnecting every summer with her large and ever-expanding Boot Camp Chatham family and friends.
